As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
our dear brother burhan,
i just finished reading a lot of love and hate mails in "about the
authour" and i must say i was shocked....u were outright threatned, cursed
and so on for following the true religion.Especially after reading the hate
mails i just had to write this mail to you...
i can`t get enough of this website....it is like an adiction. even the answers
to your hate mails were put in such a polite and decent manner that it filled
my heart with pleasure.....
i read the Quran with translation nearly always...but this web site is an added
insight to daily questions in our lives.....
i can`t tell you enough how useful this site has been to me...i pray from the deepest part of my heart that may Allah reward you and the other brother and sisters for the service you all are providing to us. may Allah guide us all to the straight path. Amen

Answer:
Sister note of thanks
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, it is only natural and it always happens that when one is born in a particular surrounding, seeing their elders and loved ones believing a particular set of beliefs as the truth from childhood, ….that when they are presented with a belief contrary to theirs, even if it be the Absolute Truth from their Lord Creator….their first reaction will be to oppose it.
Because the belief being presented is contrary to the belief they grew up with, if one reasons through emotions and without reason, intellect, wisdom, or guidance from the sources of Truth, it is only natural that they will outright reject and oppose the invitation. Although the ones inviting them to the Truth, Salvation, Mercy and Forgiveness of their Lord might be their best well-wishers, at times it may happen that their denial of the Truth might compel them to abuse, curse or even threaten those who present the Truth to them.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 21:
And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they say, “We shall only follow that upon which we found our forefathers.” What! Will they still be following them even if Shaitaan had been calling them to the raging Fire?
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 34 Surah Saba verse 43:
When Our clear Revelations are recited to these people, they say, “This person only wants to turn you away from those deities whom your forefathers have been worshipping.”
As much as a few amongst our brethren may have chosen to abuse or curse or even threaten us, Allah is our witness sister, we do not hold even an iota of ill-will amongst our beloved brethren. It may be that the Truth might one day melt their hearts and the Lord might Will to guide them to His Way. If our humble and modest efforts help even only one soul to get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause.
Your Statement: even the answers to your hate mails were put in such a polite and decent manner that it filled my heart with pleasure.....
Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah An-Nahl Ayat 125:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly guided.
Beloved Sister, regardless of whether one accepts or rejects the invitation to the Truth, the believers are bound by the Command and Guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) to always, I repeat always, invite to the Way of the Lord in the most polite and best possible manner. The duty the Lord Most Gracious has laid upon the believers is only to invite those who do not believe in the best possible manner; to guide or leave astray is in the Blessed Hands of Domain of none save our Lord Most High.
Had our Lord Most Merciful not shown us Mercy and guided us to His Truth, we too would have dwelt in the darkness of ignorance and misguidance, and without an iota of a doubt, be ruined in this life and the Hereafter. All Praise is due to our Lord Allah Subhanah Alone Who bestows guidance on whom He Wills and Pleases, and leaves astray those who chose to reject His Guidance.
May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
